The Three Tests
Stop guessing. Start with real numbers.
DEXA body composition, VO₂ Max, and RMR, done back to back in one Carmel visit, with your full results in hand before you leave the building.
Body Composition
Your bathroom scale sees a pound. A DEXA scan sees what it is made of.
A DEXA scan sends a low-dose X-ray the length of your body and pulls fat, lean muscle, and bone density into separate readings, mapped limb by limb and trunk by trunk. This is the same measurement hospitals and research labs treat as the reference standard, and the scan itself takes under 8 minutes. You leave knowing exactly where your body stands and which arm, leg, or region deserves your attention first.
VO₂ Max Test
One number tells you more about your future than almost any other.
VO₂ Max measures how efficiently your body takes in oxygen and converts it to effort as the workload rises. Whether you log miles on the Monon Trail or simply want more energy for a full day, it reflects far more than fitness. As a longevity marker it carries more weight than smoking, blood pressure, or cholesterol. You breathe through a mask, work through a graded treadmill test, and we capture your true ceiling. From there, the number becomes a plan to lift it.
Resting Metabolic Rate
Your diet is built on a calorie target that was never actually measured.
An RMR test reveals how many calories your body burns doing nothing at all, the true baseline every meal plan should be built on. The generic calculators most people rely on can miss the real figure by 20 to 30%, and that error is why fat loss stalls and carefully counted macros go nowhere. Fifteen quiet minutes breathing into a mask hands you a number drawn from your own metabolism rather than an average of someone else's.
